About me

Art has always been a part of my life.

From copying comics book characters at age 9, to drawing everyday objects around the house in my pre-teens through to creating detailed black and white portraits as an adult, I loved having a pencil in my hand.

However, a neck injury in 2014 meant that I was no longer able to draw because of continuing pain. I experimented with different art mediums in an effort to find a creative outlet that didn't cause great discomfort.

Happily, I stumbled across painting and quickly discovered that it was enjoyable and relatively comfortable.

Over two or three years I practiced and painted frequently, gathering more experience with painting techniques before finally settling into my own style.

I work with acrylic paints on stretched canvas and create both landscapes and seascapes. Although I'm based in Christchurch, and have painted numerous local scenes, I love to create paintings of boats from all around the world.
